Perth alternative rock band Time Stands Still will play Bannerman’s Bar in Edinburgh on 23 July 2026, marking the band’s third appearance at the venue and one of the first shows to be staged there since Bannerman’s closed for major repairs in April.
Bannerman’s shut its doors on 26 April 2026 after water ingress from nearby infrastructure works damaged its gig room, cellar and equipment, forcing a closure of several months. With the venue set to reopen, Time Stands Still’s return gives Edinburgh audiences an early chance to see live music back on the Cowgate stage.
Since their last appearance at Bannerman’s, Time Stands Still have released their debut album, Ghost of Me, a ten-track record of alternative rock built on heavy riffs, soaring melodies and honest lyrics. Tracks including Before The Storm, Rush and Nowhere have become fixtures of the band’s live set.
Fronted by Liam Hesslewood, the band pairs heartfelt songwriting with the twin-guitar work of Chris Ward and Gavin O’Sullivan, driven by Ian Potter on bass and David Stobbie on drums.
